Outdoor Advocacy and Presentations, Natural Resource Management and Planning, Steelhead Outings

Steve Madewell

I enjoyed a wonderful career in the public sector and was privileged to have worked for four different park districts in Ohio. I served as the director for three of these, Geauga Park District, Lake Metroparks and Metroparks Serving the Toledo Area. For over 36 years I was involved with nearly every element of park district operations, from resource management and environmental education to fundraising and policy development. I worked with and served on several national, state and local conservation organizations and boards and have spent considerable time at the statehouse and in Washington D.C. conversing with elected officials and staff regarding conservation initiatives and environmental issues.

I offer several presentations on the important and diverse values of natural resources and outdoor experiences. I currently work with a number of organizations involved with resource management and outdoor recreation.

I have provided keynote presentations for the Ohio Biological Survey and the New Mexico State Park and Recreation Association, and countless talks and workshops on a host of subjects for park and recreation organizations, conservation clubs, and communitiy organizations.
