Mangled up in blue!
Please give me a little slack on this attempt at humor
but alas, my little blue Toyota gig car is no more.
It was pretty mangled and I was in the center of it.
Last weekend I was on my way to one of my favorite local venues
I believe I had a mechanical failure which resulted in a colossal collision on interstate 90
I spent the following six days or so in intensive care at university Hospital systems
I was then stepped down to a slightly less intensive level of care
I anticipate being released to a rehabilitation facility for another two weeks or so
There was a lot of confusion over what happened and the injuries I sustained
The long and the short of it is, I am a very lucky person
The amount of outpouring support and love has been overwhelming for both Mary Jo and I
from the conservation community that I worked in for so many years,
The musicians that I have recorded with and performed with for decades, family members and followers and supporters
Truly truly humbling
I will try to post individual updates for those communities on my Madewell music blog
We’re very grateful for your love and support,
but in the meantime know that I am on the road to recovery and have acquired some tremendous ideas for songs
