July Update

Late July Update

Most folks know on June 22nd I was involved in a crash with a semi.

After 12 days at the UH Trauma Center, I was transferred to a Cleveland Clinic rehab facility for another week and a half.

I suffered a number of fractures and breaks, couple collapsed lungs, some contusions, a brain bleed, and a hyperextended brachioplexus on the left side.  Most are on the mend. However, my left arm is still out of commission. I am hoping this will recover, as I can wiggle and move digits. That being said, this is going to take some relearning and some time.

Consequently, I am canceling all of my performances for the remainder of the year. All a little bittersweet as I had some very nice concert/listening shows scheduled in three states and across Ohio. I had musicians friends step up and cover several gigs for me the first few weeks I was laid up!

MJ, our kids, and family have been great. Our friends, especially, my music connections and supporters have been over the top. Friends and colleagues through SERFA and FARM have been supportive in so many ways. Local musicians performed at a benifit show hosted at the Beachland Ballroom. There was a full room, great  music and it was all simply overwhelming!

I’m enjoying the down time/recovery time at home. I have a lot of healing and recovery to do. I am being selective with visitors and how I use my time, hence the lengthy post!

Thanks for your well wishes, understanding and continued support.
