Anyone who has paid attention to my social media post well aware of my affinity for Driftwood Point. This goes back many years when I first started playing there and Dave first bought the place. I’ve had many wonderful nights there as a solo artist and also with various ensembles. As a matter of fact, the week before my accident, we actually had a brunch on Sunday, themed no less, after Shorty‘s Café!
And for those folks who my social media you will pick up on my reference to kitchen.
Once again, the hometown folks caught me off guard with another act of kindness. Jacob wanted to do something special for me and used a Sunday evening to host a special night of music on my behalf. The new Silver String Band played, and the North Coast Voice kind enough to give me a shout out and there was a number of supporters show up to say hello. I had planned on meeting some folks up there and grabbing dinner, but I didn’t realize that evening was unfolding as a little bit of a tribute to me. When I arrived, I just saw a bunch of familiar faces that I assumed like the silver string band too!
